You can visit Sophie's official website hereSophie first competed in the Paralympics aged 16, the youngest athlete for Great Britain in that competition. Sophie contested the freestyle and championship dressage, in the freestyle event Sophie finished fourth and in the championship dressage she won her first Paralympic medal, competing with her horse Hotstuff, taking the bronze. Sophie was duly named BBC London Disabled Athlete of the Year for 2004. In 2008 she represented Great Britain at the Summer Paralympics in Hong Kong. Riding Lambrusco she won an individual gold medal in freestyle and silver in championship dressage. In the team open she won her second Paralympic gold medal. Sophie was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2009, then Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2013 New Year Honours for services to equestrianism. The Paralympics 2012 saw Sophie claim gold for her historic triple.
